weblogic.common.ResourceException:

Could not connect to 'oracle.jdbc.xa.client.OracleXADataSource'.

The returned message is: ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

Usually when dbusername/password/DB name or db connection string is not correct, this issue happens. So check the jdbc-system-resource in config.xml file and edit the troubling/incorrect   jdbc/XXXXXXX-jdbc.xml file to get rid of the error.

The config in config.xml should look like below

<jdbc-system-resource>
<name>DataSourceName</name>
<target>Target Server/Cluster Name</target>
<descriptor-file-name>jdbc/XXXXXXX-jdbc.xml</descriptor-file-name>
</jdbc-system-resource>
